GW is a nice game but it's slightly behind in the control customisation department. Here's some things that shouldnt be too hard and would be nice:

1. Every action in the game should be mappable. I'm particularly talking about "call my target" (shift+dblclick) and the similar commands.

2. I think macros for commands goes against the "skill" based gameplay of GW, but at least let us have macros for speech and emotes, etc. It would help improve communications when people aren't using headsets.

3. Being able to remap the mouse buttons and the scroll wheel. Personally I dont use zoom very much and would find it handy to use the wheel for other things.

4. I'd like to be able to map key combinations (shift+key, ctrl+key, etc)

5. For fun and silliness, give us joystick/joypad support. It would be interesting to try GW on a ps2 joypad :) Dont worry about making it usuable, just let us remap everything and let us figure it out ;)

I feel the need of macros as well, and I want to be able to customize the chat window a lot more, adding more channels and filters.

In game Macros would make everything too easy. You can however get a gaming keyboard that allows you to combine button combos in to single key presses. it helps for micromanaging heroes though.

I agree with the idea, however. I've always wanted to map a skill or something other than microphone on Vent to my scroll wheel. I heard you can, but I just can't. Maybe if you can someone can tell me?
